The BMW M4 GT3 EVO delivered a commanding performance at the 49th Suzuka 1000KM, with Team WRT’s #32 entry taking control from pole position and never looking back. Kelvin van der Linde, Raffaele Marciello, and Charles Weerts combined precision driving with flawless teamwork to secure a clear win, giving BMW its third Intercontinental GT Challenge triumph of the season after Bathurst and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

The race, run in humid conditions with temperatures climbing above 30 degrees and frequent rain showers, tested drivers and machines alike. Yet, the #32 BMW M4 GT3 EVO remained composed under pressure, stretching its advantage whenever safety cars and strategy battles closed the gap. Across 170 laps, the car’s balance and endurance proved decisive, crossing the line with a comfortable margin.

Elsewhere in the field, the #31 BMW M4 GT3 EVO driven by Augusto Farfus, Max Hesse, and Dan Harper climbed from eighth on the grid and battled fiercely in the top five before a late penalty placed them sixth overall. Team KRC’s #89 BMW M4 GT3 EVO also shone, charging through the pack to ninth and celebrating a second-place finish in the Bronze class while topping the GT World Challenge Asia classification.
With victory at Suzuka, BMW strengthened its lead in the manufacturers’ standings and now holds a strong position heading into the season finale at Indianapolis in October. Four BMW M works drivers also dominate the drivers’ standings, with van der Linde, Marciello, Farfus, and Weerts occupying the top four spots.
The Suzuka win not only underscores the performance of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO but also highlights BMW M Motorsport’s relentless pursuit of excellence across the globe’s most demanding endurance events.
