It might take a lot of thinking to remember some famous 1990s BMW models, such as the BMW 840Ci. The 8 Series was, at one point, the top of the Bavarian line-up.
When the car appeared, it offered 286 HP and 420 Nm of torque, produced by the 4.0-liter V8 engine. With the progress of technology, the automotive companies are now easily achieving this output with 2.0-liter engines, but back then this was very impressive.
We thought it would be fun to check out how the 840Ci compares with some of the big boys, especially on the exhaust sound field. Even though it needs some support, it still shows impeccable strength, and the guys at Supersprint knew exactly how to get the best out of it. Their kit is available for those of you who still own an 840Ci car.
