Most people will think of the BMW E60 M5 when speaking about the best sounding M5 ever made. Even if the E39 M5 also sounds impressive with its 4.9-liter V8 engine, the E60 is what really takes it up a notch, thanks to its high-revving 5-liter V10 which also uses F1 technology. Yes, the E39 has a deeper growl that sounds meaner. However, the E60 M5 is one that releases a higher scream. Even with the stock exhaust, the engine always raises hell whenever its pushed hard. So what will happen when a Dinan stroker is added to the mix? Find out and be surprised in this video below:
The car shown above was fitted with a Dinan stroker. The tuning kit takes things up to 5.8 liters in total, while power output also grows significantly, reaching 611 HP and 468 lb-ft (635 Nm) of torque. If we look at the way the car was pulling in the drag race portrayed below, there must be a second kit used here. We can’t be sure at this point because the owner of this video did not specify it.
It also looks like the car is using an aftermarket exhaust which takes the decibel count well into the upper echelons of 100 db.
