A 100th anniversary is not the only thing BMW is celebrating this year. In 2016, they are also honoring the 50th anniversary of BMW 02 Series. 50 years ago, BMW launched models that would soon become a part of the history: the 1502, 1602, and 2002.
The Bavarians decided to celebrate this milestone in an original way. Germany launched a special set of post stamps with the iconic BMW 2002 on them.
French artist BOD designed the stamps which show a 2002 riding on two right wheels on the Nurburgring. Even the amount is limited to an appropriate number – there will only be 2,002 sets of these celebratory stamps.
The sets include 2 stamps and cost 10 euros, but you don’t have to actually use the 2002 stamps. Te sets come with two regular 0.7 euro stamps and the 2002 ones are for fans and collectors.
