The upcoming MINI Coupe and Roadster have both been spotted during a testing session. What’s interesting is how the two prototypes reveal that a basic model of the two is being developed as well. Previous reports say that MINI will offer the two new models as John Cooper S and Cooper SD variants, but recent spy photos reveal the MINI Coupe with a single tail pipe on the right side – the common characteristic of a basic model from MINI — and indicates a smaller diesel or petrol engine with around 120 horsepower. The Coupe will debut in 2012. After six months, the MINI Roadster six months later will also make its debut.
