Ultra-Rare E30 BMW M3 Convertible for Sale

The BMW E30 M3 was never intended to be more than a race car for BMW’s participation in DTM racing. However, it turned out to be much more than that. The E30 M3 Convertible, of which only 476 were ever made, makes it exceedingly rare. One such convertible is currently for sale in the UK on Piston Heads.

This UK M3 is left-hand drive, like all E30 M3 Convertibles. Its Diamond Black exterior suits the M3’s motorsport design, with swollen wheel arches adding sophistication. The Lotus White leather interior contrasts beautifully with the black exterior, particularly with the top down.

The E30 M3 looks surprisingly good with the top down, with its blistered wheel arches adding to its appeal. While E30 3 Series convertibles are not new, the addition of ALPINA wheels enhances the car’s appearance, giving it a touch of elegance that is usually missing from such a brash-looking vehicle.

This convertible has just under 22,000 miles on the odometer, a surprisingly low figure considering it has had four previous owners. Despite this, it is in exceptional condition, with no signs of wear or tear. It is almost as if its 22,000 miles were clocked on a climate-controlled indoor track. Although its £139,950 asking price seems like a bargain given its rarity and collectability, it is saddening to see a car of this caliber remain locked away in a climate-controlled garage. Cars like the E30 M3 Convertible are meant to be driven and enjoyed, not kept as a museum piece.
