Watch a BMW M4 Owner Drive an M2

Nick Murray is a popular YouTube personality and a happy BMW M4 owner. Now, he is moving to a Porsche 911 and selling his M4. Before he lets go of the car, he decides to compare it to the brand-new BMW M2, which is also very popular at the moment. Will a happy BMW M4 owner be happy to switch to an M2, or not? Find out on this video below!

Based on the reviews that the M2 has been getting, the general temperature is that it’s a better driver’s car than the M4. However, it is useful to note the differences including interior quality, options, and usability, from someone who actually owned an M4.

Overall, Murray was sold to the M2. He thinks that this is a good car to buy at the moment, for those who are able to. Compared to the M4 he currently owns, Murray feels that there is not much downgrade on power felt. That’s pretty cool because it is down the M4 by 60 ponies. It makes 365 hp compared to the M4’s 425 hp. However, it is also lighter and smaller, so it’s just that fast.

If anything was upgraded, it was the driver’s feel. Being inside the M2 or the M4 feels similar because they share subframe and steering components. However, BMW did a really good job in making the M2 is a lot smaller and more agile. The car feels sharper and feels a lot better to drive according to Murray.

The M4 of course is intended to be a better car in terms of ranking. So it does stand out in some areas including interior quality, backseat space, and headroom. However, practicality-wise, there is not much lost in choosing an M2 over an M4. Value-wise, the BMW M2 ticks all the right boxes.
