BMW XM and Valentino Rossi Tear Up Dirt Track in Thrilling Display

Valentino Rossi, a nine-time world motorcycle champion, joined BMW M Motorsport as an official driver last year. After leaving MotoGP in 2021, Rossi expanded his horizons. Competing with the BMW M4 GT3 in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, he achieved outstanding results. He finished sixth at the 24 Hours of Spa. Rossi also claimed first place at the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Road to Le Mans. Lastly, he secured a commendable second place at the second GTWCE Sprint Cup race at Brands Hatch. Rossi’s transition to the world of GT racing has been successful.

Watch Valentino Rossi, known as “The Doctor,” take the wheel of the impressive and powerful BMW XM in an exciting new film. This unique BMW model stands out as Rossi showcases his skills on the dirt track at his VR46 Motor Ranch. It’s just a mile from his hometown of Tavullia. Interestingly, to pay tribute to Rossi’s iconic race number, the area’s speed limit is 46 km/h instead of the usual 50 km/h.

Featuring unparalleled power, BMW’s latest production vehicle introduces a specialized 4WD Sand driving mode. This particular mode likely aided in maintaining control of the massive M model while navigating the dirt track. The dynamic stability control system must be deactivated entirely to engage in this mode. The showcased XM model, adorned in Sapphire Black with a striking Night Gold accent band, boasts colossal 23-inch wheels, setting a new record as the largest wheels ever factory-fitted on a BMW.

In Italy, the base model of the XM carries a hefty price tag of €181,500. The XM Label Red edition commands an eye-watering €206,500 for those seeking more extravagance. However, the price can escalate further with additional customization options. The XM stands as the most expensive regular production model ever created by BMW, except for the exceptionally rare 3.0 CSL. This extraordinary vehicle initially sold for approximately €750,000 until affluent buyers acquired all 50 units.
