BMW M3 CS Touring Fuses Track Agility with Family Versatility

The BMW M3 CS Touring debuts as a high-performance wagon merging racetrack prowess with everyday adaptability. Set for its global reveal at Australia’s iconic Mount Panorama Circuit during the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour, this limited-production model balances blistering speed with practical cargo space. Its 3.0-litre inline-six engine, enhanced with motorsport-derived techs like a forged crankshaft and 3D-printed components, generates 550 horsepower, rocketing the car from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds. Paired with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, it ensures precise power delivery whether navigating city streets or attacking corners.

Engineered for relentless performance, the M3 CS Touring integrates lightweight carbon fibre elements such as the hood, mirror caps, and rear diffuser, trimming weight by 15 kg over standard models. Adaptive suspension and track-tuned chassis settings refine handling, while optional carbon-ceramic brakes and staggered forged wheels wrapped in performance tyres offer uncompromising grip. Drivers can toggle between all-wheel-drive modes, including a rear-biased 4WD Sport setting or pure rear-wheel drive for purist thrills.

Inside, the cabin blends luxury with motorsport minimalism. M Carbon bucket seats, Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel with a race-inspired centre marker, and customizable digital displays prioritize driver engagement. The latest BMW iDrive system integrates track-focused tools like Drift Analyser and Lap Timer, while dual-zone climate control and a premium sound system maintain comfort. Exclusive design accents, including illuminated “CS” badges and contrast stitching, underscore its limited-edition status.

Limited to select markets like Europe, Australia, and Japan, the M3 CS Touring enters production in March 2025 at BMW’s Munich plant. It features GT-inspired yellow LED headlights and exposed carbon fibre details and is available in bold hues like British Racing Green and Laguna Seca Blue. With a 1,510-liter cargo capacity and advanced driver aids, this wagon redefines the intersection of adrenaline and utility, proving performance need not sacrifice practicality.
