Tinted windows.......

I believe for a 3 serious sedan using their top end film cld even get below 500 bucks.....

but to cover big size man like u maybe charge more.....

For top end it does indeed look cheap. However you can't really tell the quality until maybe 2 -3 years later. My previous ride started to bubbled around that time......lots of tiny bubbles all over the place...I was using Thermal Shield or something like that.

hmmm... I see... but one of my friend put V-kool in his 156 and to me the visibility seems to have gotten worse like that leh... maybe the installation was bad..
That means his is way too dark oredi....way beyond LTA's limits.

Maybe lor... but it did not look that dark leh...

what if my sedan is not serious one, but play play one?

CY, me used premium. mystic and mirage a little confusing, plus the % very low, and only cheaper by a bit.

Rick is our ta jie Dvanos' cousin. Confirm he will take care of your car.

in fact this morning i just did my qp with V-cool premium. Rick is very nice drive the car to my home and dropped it off. And it was a super express job. I sent in at 930am, before lunchtime, car is ready. and that even includes the installation of a 1-piece flim on the rear windscreen even though on initial inspection they said due to curvature confirm need 2 pieces.

those guys tried their best, and succeeded in using only 1 piece to install. quite impressed. sales staff there also very polite.

Wah, RB, sounds like you got yourself a good deal. What about the price? And where's the workshop located?

the price is quoted $1.2k but i got 1.1k, which is a good price considering it's a large car category. location is at bukit timah tan chong motors dunearn rd.

Ivan... you mean your body kitted MRS ah?
Alamak!! It's you again...

Wah lau eh.. you live online is it? bleeding hell... damn bloody stressed now... needed to relax a bit mah...

but seriously, do these window tints really help to cool the car faster? Any other benefits?

Other than the commonly expected benefit to cool down the car faster (like Ivan said, dont expect quick miracle to happen thou which is true )..., another important benefit is the infra-red heat and uv rejection up to certain percentage...Being the higher the number the better. This rejection helps protect the driver's skin to sun exposure otherwise and also the interior leather of the car.

While darker color looks nicer IMO, the legal issue of film transparency makes it difficult to have one.

I like the grey-ish color. Hv u noticed one in my ride ?
I am on Huper Optik, premium grade for 800bux. Been 5mths already n like it so far. It's very important to get a highly professional installer or else you end up having a purchase disorder but having said that, if u aint happy with the workmanship, you can ask them to re-do. Most shops welcome such claim.

Mai tu liao big guy...

RB, for vkool u shld hv no prob getting 30% off the listed px so I hope u got that at least. I know cos I almost did vkool. I asked rick but he never came back with a px leh...maybe he cld not better. Anyway, in the end I settled for huper cos vkool cannot get the darkness I want. Whole car done for $700.

Bottom line, want heat rejection then vkool. Want dark dark then other films (huper best heat rejection among these others I think).

Btw, someone was posting on one of the forums that ray barrier whole car do abt 200 or 250.

" Btw, someone was posting on one of the forums that ray barrier whole car do abt 200 or 250. "

That is dirt cheap, is it recyled one? :)

Think that is for cars below 1600cc. Anyway the heat and uv rejection for those cheap films are normally very low. They also don't last.

Hi all,

I have contact with V-Kool and will be able to get some discount for you guys. The boss also drive a E46 anyway(Telok Kurau branch), If you want to see the quality of his workmanship you guys can take a look at my Audi or Lay Chee super car. The discount should be in the range of 20-25% for the Premium package. For more discount, I leave it to you to bargain with him but then if you want unrealistic discount like 35%-50% then lets not waste each other time. Why I say this is that a few forumers(non-bmw) I intro go there and demanded for 40% discount etc............. :shoot:

Let me know and I can check, maybe more cars more discount.
I don;t earn a single cents here so only if you trust me... ;)

Cheers!

Anyone here knows what's the legal tint limit for Singapore?

Tinting your windows is really worth it. Protects your leather, protects you, and keeps the car cool in sunny Singapore.

Make sure you get a good window tint tho. Bad jobs, you will see bubbles coming up everytime and the film tearing off.

Got my car tinted here, paid about AUD$250 I think. For side and back, illegal to tint the windscreen.

Bro,

Somehow I get the feelin dat yr previous car Thermal Shield was not installed properly, resultin in the bubbles; even veri cheap not UV n IR reject films if installed properly shld not give bubbles IMHO.

n also, if 2-3 years down the road, dont tink I drivin tis car liao.......ok, ok, how lian I am; I may b drivin Kia Picanto by then

Yeah... very show off :shoot: I will suspect the Kia Picanto will have the Prancing Horse logo in front n back :laughlik:

btw, V-Kool 70 all around can be done at priced $850... u guys go ahead with the bargaining power ;)

also, another excellent point about fitting any sticker, is that it keeps the glass in one piece during an accident. and this is the main reason why i want to v-cool my car. not coz of any heat rejection or anything.

we just saw an excellent real life example. i'm convinced.
