Hey guys, only just saw this post. I had the jerk before stop problem before, was recommended by a fellow forum-er to go to BVO. Half an hr job and $80 to reprogram the gearbox. Had been a year already, braking is still smooth, no more jerks and gear change is smoother too. Not sure of the extent of your gear problems, but you may want to try BVO too, in case your problem is the same as mine, just need some reprogramming the gearbox.

My opinion is, if transmission needs to be overhauled, you might want to consider changing your car as it will never be the same car again. I mean, its like a major by-pass surgery, your recovery depends on the skill of the surgeon...

Well I spent about $50-60 buying a diagnostic cable that allows me to reset transmission adaptations. I did the full reset including torque converter and thought that was a good deal because i can now reset again and again and again and again. But alas I sold my old ride so I can't comment if the reset fixed everything.

I had the jerk-before-stop problem for the longest time. Can't remember when it started but my JOY did not last long after the warranty expired.
I had the ATF flushed and filter changed recently. Filter cost 200+. Everything runs smoother now with the jerk much less pronounced. Not sure if they reset the gearbox. If it comes back, I'll try BVO as another forumer suggested.
