Ive used S-03, advan neova AD07, and now PS2.

PS2 is the best F##KING tire u can get next to semi slicks lah. altho i haven tried the toopid Federals yet!

Tracked my ride 3 times with PS2 liao and thread is still good, ride quiet and comfy, grip swee swee! Where to find.......dun care the price lah................PS2 my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

speaking of weight of tyres as a factor to consider, can some kind soul help rank some of the popular ones so we can see what is the price vs weight benefit of each?

All 225/40/18

PS2 : 21lbs , price bout 360-380
Potenza RE01R : 25lbs (dunno bout price but should be 320-350)
SO-3 : 28lbs , price is slightly lower than RE01R
Dunlop SPMaxx : 24lbs, price is 260-275
Advan Neova ADO7 : 24lbs, price is bout 260-280
CSC2 : 21 lbs , price is similar or slightly lower than PS2
Pirelli Nero : 22lbs, price should be similar to CSC2

Most comfortable : PS2
Best dry grip : RE01R
Best bang for the buck (IMO) : Dunlop SportMaxx
Lightest : PS2 and CSC2
Heaviest : SO3
Priciest : PS2
Nicest looking tread : RE01R
Best corner grip in wet : probably SO-3
Tramline champion : SO-3

I changed my 2 x rear tyres at leong Seng (Ubi) last weekend. 245/40 17 inch PS2 tyre cost me $370 each.

Get the Preceda like the front one..
Why do u want to think of other brand?

I bought the PP2 at $260 each for the front around june 2006. I must say it's a good tyre and more then enough to suit my need on fast cornering at our road junctions.

I had wanted to get Preceda 2 (PP2) for the rear (245/40/17) but there is no stock at Leong Seng.

Hence, I got PS2 last weekend instead. I think Michelin makes really good products.

- haha... i like yr review !!! looks like i am going the same path as u, S-03 (good in dry/wet) ad07 (very good in dry but when hot weather on track cant maintain
grip when pushed) . Tink i'm gonna get set of PS2 next instead of semi slicks.

For 19 inch tyres for the M3 (265/30/19 & 235/35/19), I was qouted $600+.

It's quite a jump in price for the PS2 tyre when you go from 18 inch to 19 inch hor?

Sure it's a big jump..
I paid 2600 for those specs bout a yr ago.

Perhaps u wanna consider other brands..these PS2 are really expensive...
For the same size, Dunlop SPMaxx cost well under 2k

i think should seriously consider semi-slicks cos u are a regular trackie........PS2 is perfect...but they are still street tires, dun think will come close to the grip levels of even a lousy semi slick.....

ngk useh la pak.. i took a dive with the T1-R.. will see how they perform on the track... next set of tires... im going back to PS2's or and get a set of 18" with em brigdestone semi slicks...
