Been running on GY Eagle F1 GSD3 for 4k km nia...now my arse is itching to try something else :screwedu:

Bridgestone Pole Position is not easy available and Michelin PS2 is over priced somehow.

What about Federal and Toyo Proxy...anyone running on them?:)

i am using the Toyo T1R and its really alot better than my previous CSC2. In the rain, its a much controlled drive even on a tad tight corners. And its much much quieter than my CSC2 which was noisy in cabin. If u want i can upload how it looks like on my car after install. The threads look garanag!

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

What sizes are you running and how much are the T1Rs? considering getting them when i get my 19s. hopefully they're cheap enough to burn rubber

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

CSC II sucks !!! Try Dunlop Sport Maxx..... value for money.

My 18s 225/40 is abt 320+ per tire. My csc2 i paid abt 360+ 1 year ago.

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

i have been using the T1R for almost 10k km.... and my opinion that it is not as good as it claimed.. if u drive ur car hard... its not good for both on wet and dry.... just overhyped tire IMHO..
but of course its one of the cheapest high performance tire you can get.... and the T1R is quiet too..

PS2 is amazing... dont know anything about CSC2....

u want to try some good tires that people seldom use..can try the P zero rosso... or even better the P zero corsa... dont know how they fare against PS2 but the rosso is defenetely cheaper..

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

how about Bridgestone RE050?

I'm looking the PS2 as well but it seems that PS2 dont come with rim protector, are they?

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

Try Yokohama's Advan Sport? Tread design quite similar to PS2 and very quiet for performance tyre - OEM for Bentley

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

ABD
Potenza SO-3 should be fairly easily available I'd think...I think South East keeps stock most of the time. PS2 is harder to come by.

If price isnt an issue, u know what PS2 can offer. U sat in my car n u felt it.

Else, I'd go with Dunlop SportMaxx for the best bang for the buck.
Of if u don't mind Federal ( Taiwan made tires ), u can try the 595 model.

GS-D3, being ever rated as the No.1 by Tirerack, is clearly more of a marketing scam than anything else IMO. I will never buy it....Sorry to those who are still using them.

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

TripleM

everyshop that i asked abt Bridgestone RE050 and Michelin PS2 says this "we can give you a rough price for this. But yr tyre size needs to pre-order and the final price may differ slightly".:furious:

Now who is the main distributor/agent for these 2 brands. If not convenient to say openly an PM me one :)

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

ABD call Mr Bu 96719998. I got my PS2 from him. One of the cheapest around.
Hope it works out for you.

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

South East is quite a major distributor for both brands ( official channel ). Their prices are not the cheapest.

I heard Poh Heng is the cheapest for Michelin but their tires could be PI'ed, no warranty card given.

I assume u r ordering 235/35/19 correct? Should be fairly common. Maybe some selling tactics...hmm

The latest I heard is that SE sell both agent as well as PI Michelin PS2. Difference abt $50 per tyre for 225/40/18 as an example.

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

That's good to know...50 per tire is decent savings

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

Last time I ask SE they no no stock for PS2 leh. Anyway whats the use of having warranty for PS 2 tyre. Tyre warranty is new to me...kekekeke...never heard of before

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

assuming u always check ur tire pressure, dont go tracking nor auto-cross, running factory camber setting..
, the warranty should cover things like pre-mature wear of the tire such as the steel belt protrudes out...

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

Sometimes, the tyre maker may discover an inherent defect and may need to recall the tyres and give u new ones. If your tyres are PI ones, u may not benefit from that. A couple of years back, PSs (and not PS2s) were recalled.

i will take PS2 if cost permits, once you try them you'll know why they are so $$$$ and i IMHO it's worth it, i am on my 2nd set of PS2 the previous set was sold with the car.

normally i will change out my tire about 20k km on, cos by then the tire becomes loud, and also the itchy factor to change something new. so far for me with the PS2 i dont get this 2 feeling. after > 20K km.

and if you know you are using the best of the best, somehow the itchy factor is no longer there, unless something comes along to be better than PS2.

invest in a good set of tire for you car is like cheap insurance, you wouldn't know when you need it until..... say like we need the correct shoes for the correct sports same as for car.

F1 GSD3 - feedback from friends are that they b'come loud after 17K km and the edge block of the tire likes to wear out faster than the mid section.

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

what to do after changing to Non-RFTs, no spare wheel to replace how? take a space saver during long trip?

call a tyre dealer, was quoted SGD$630 for 235/35/19 and SGD$670 for 265/30/19.

Is this too much off the market price? i heard 19" PS2 is priced around $500-600 the most?

Re: Feel like changing tyres.....but to what?

Have been using RE050s for my ride the last 12k km. Previously was on Pilot sports, the first model. Initially, I was cursing and swearing cos the 50s were poor in grip compared to my PS1. Ride comfort was definitely better. Turn in response was not as good as the PS. However, after a long 1000km scrub in, the tyres got better and better. Grip still cant compare to the PS1s, but I began to appreciate the ride comfort and quiet ride. My tyres are 255/35R19 and 285/30R19 rear. If u want really good grip and cornering prowess, the PS are for you. In everyday driving with decent grip with better than average wear and tear, the 50s are quite ok. The last enzo i saw came with them as standard fitment. Cheers
