BMW started it all with the Turbo thing. The 335i has changed the face of BMW mods more than any model in the past decade. Because it's so easy to start modding the 335i with BIG payoff, so people get bitten by the bug and do all kinds of crazy things.

After you pick the low lying fruit by upping the boost and kickin using piggyback ECU, then the other fruits are harder to pick. You do the suspension, wheels, etc. After all the mid-lying fruits picked, you will do the crazy things.

Battery relocation, seat changes, stripping the car, etc.

you are a genius,couldnt have said better myself.

really, BMW opened a can of worms with an inexpensive Turbo car.

Already, see all the BMW forums in the world today. Change to like ... STI and Evo forum liddat ... shocking!

Thats why, lets not turn our 335 into STI/EVO leh

I did weight my battery before. Although its not 20KG, it weights 17KG. Its rated at 72AH 550A.

Wow USD400..........

From what I have read, every 40KG can shave off around 0.1s from your 0-100KM/Hr timing. Even if you can run you car w/o a battery, you can at best improve the time by 0.05s (assuming its linear improvement).

This is to say that it does really make a difference to have a light weight battery inside the car unless you are using the car for racing purpose.
