Hi Bros,

i bought an F10 last year in Oct 2010 and collected my car only in Jan 11, so far l was disappointed with PML services;

1. PML registered my car on 29th Dec 2010 and only delivered my car only on 7th Jan 2011 after chasing them to do so, initially was told that my car can only be delivered between 13-14th Jan so why registered my car so early that was my qn?

2. Forgot to retain my car registration no. - told PML to resolve this and finally was able to retain the no. after a few days. It was stated clearly in the PML invoice that car no. retention.

3. On the day of delivery - found 2 small dot on the bonnet of the car and some fine lines on the boot and l have to spend money getting the groomer to take away the fine lines and told PML to resolve the bonnet issues - nothing happen till after Chinese new year and l got to ask them for a solution and finally last week agreed to swap the bonnet.

4. Driver door sensor having problem on the 3rd week of collecting the car and that was 2 weeks before chinese new year
- Call PML to see whether l can send in for a check and was told l am sorry we can only attend to you after chinese new year

5. Rear passenger aircon vent
- Air blowing out was small and hot and have told PML that they need to resolve when they need to swap my bonnet

6. Right wiper
- after wiping has some problem it has a line after wiping but the left side was ok
- l have got the groomer to clean the screen but the line still remain after wiping.

l am so disappointed with PML after sales service, what would you do if you are in my position?

Appreciate your advise.

wow. sorry to hear of these problems, mate....

it sures taints the joy of driving a new car like F10.

i guess u can only complain all the way and bang table if necessary.... make sure they change all that has to be changed and give u a huge stack of vouchers to be used for servicing, to soften the impact of the stress and sleepless nites that they gave u.

Thanks bro, l am so disappointed and even have doubt whether am l buying a premium car or some Kuching car...:(. The best part is that the service manager came down and assess my car, waste my time talking to them. You are right l should demand compensation.

My car was also same... think my car and yours same batch... damn alot of problems... mine worse day 1 gear box got problem liao... sian half... leather seat got a tiny hole...

teach you this... may work, may not work, depending on how much you willing to do... But it worked for me :)

i had this radiator fan problem. the normal radiator fan is suppose to actuate the speed according to the temperature of the engine. However, mine was broken apparently, so when the fan comes on, it only comes on 100%, and it vibrates the car very badly.

I sent into PML twice and they kept insisting that this is normal.

so anyway, i left my car running and i waited at the sales area... this guy came to the showroom and was looking at a new 320i. He was with the sales person.

I went over to him and ask him if he would like to know how a 320i is like after 2.5 years. You can imagine how the sales girl face was looking. So i brought him to my car, and show him the vibration the fan was making. I insisted that this is really normal, and i have been assured by the service staff not once, but twice....

You cannot imagine how fast the radiator was swapped! ha ha....

But the new fan was broken again after a year... I do not know why, and the warranty was out by then... I went to R2D to have it changed again...

i sold the car soon after, but i could feel the problem surfacing...


my bottom line is, PML can and will do alot.. But you have to hit them where it hurt them most! it is whether you are ruffian enough or not... They were just unlucky as i was not working at that time, and i was extremely free...

Bro so what did PML do to resolve these problems and did they compensate you for the inconvenience.

how to show potential buyer of gearbox jerk ... must give each and everyone a taxi ride liao :lol:

If i have the time, i would have done that...

the only reason why PML wins with their sucky service, provided by some of the sucky service staffs is because, most of us have a day job to go to, and we don't have time to keep knocking on their doors. The other reasons is probably because some of us needs our car for a daily work...

so happen that i was in between jobs then, i had all the time in the world, after i drop my wife off every morning... my current ride is almost 3 years old, gonna be out of warranty period, lucky them! wahahhaha!

They changed the leather and now trying to get them to replace my gear box

Damn Xian with what a premium car brand in sgp can offer...sometimes feel like l have make a wrong choice...:(

Hi hosaybo,

sorry to hear that............yes you should demand a compensation. Like free servicing for at least up to 50000km. and if given the car is to be at their workshop overnight ( a loan car must be given without question ask ). To send your ride to your home if you are unable to pick up after doing servicing.

anyway i think your case is actually more on the SE that you deal with ( so cock-up ). And hope that they can at lest speed up certain process that they missed-out...........

i've bought 2 ride from them and so far so good so i think some time buying cars/stuff, luck do plays apart ( just my opinion, dun flame me )...


* you didnt make a wrong car choice as BMW is definitely a great car ( i've driven 7)
* really hope you are able to enjoy F10 soonest...........

I can understand how you feel .... must be damn TL ... bot a new car and geting all the rubbish.

I sold my E90 after owning it for 26 months recently and switched to a W204. Frankly, in terms of service, I would say that C&C is better. My car was registered on the same day as my collection.

I never had any issue with my E90 while driving the car except for the air con vents broke within weeks of collection of the car. Of course PML replaced the vents FOC but a little buay song cos you will never expect such thing to happen for a premium car.

But, i still miss the drive of BMW and it is not called the "Ultimate Driving Machine" for nothing. Despite all the negatives of PML, there is a very high chance that i will switch back to BMW again when the F30 is launched.

Thanks bro for the advise, the reason why l choose BMW was because l used to own two 3er and l like the driving pleasure but l do not have much problem with it. If it is not for the reason that l need more space for the family and l like saloon car l would have not sold my coupe for 4 doors. Let's see what pml comes back with, l would definitely want a good explanation from their top mgtmt for all the trouble l am gtg through.
