What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

just my ten cents worth...

BMW - yuppie, professional, could do with more publicity/buzz
Merc - towkay, cabs (bad move), very ordinary in germany apparently
Audi - gorgeous looking car, pity the service chain sux (from pre to post sales)

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

bmw is all about luxury yet finding the equal in being sporty with power. ups!

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

As above - woah, rich man!

My impression of BMW only starts to grow after I overlooked Mercedes Benz.

I love beemer's design and driving dynamics. BMW drivers are not so "ah bengz" on the roads as compared to turbo Honda, and not as loud as those Ferraris.

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

Coming from Honda, always thought BMW was the angmo's definition of a driver's car..still trying to find that justification on the E39...

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

10 years ago, my perception of BMW - Rude drivers, yayapapaya, bad attitude, show off

5 years ago, my perception of BMW - lesser rude drivers, not so yayapapaya, better attitude, show off.

Currently, my perception of BMW - lesser rude drivers, not yayapapaya anymore(bcos got a lot more Masseratti, porche, lambo on the road), surprisingly improved attitude, show off.

But who cares about the show off part. Like my buddy's mom-in-law always say :

"If you've got it, then Flaunt IT; as long as you r not out to offend others"

Great Statement for BMW, IMHO.

Have a Great & Safe ride..

Cheers,

Kim

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

Overall great brand, but for some reason I always imagine a Beemer with one blown rear lamp... perhaps something I observed over the years on the road :slaphead:

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

1. Best car in terms of handling and machine wise.
2. Customer service is great but after sales service is avg in general.
3. A world class brand that makes many of its rivals envy...

Went to the BMW Welt and Plant visit.. very impressive...

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

The initials BMW are pronounced [beː ɛm ˈveː] in German.[31] The model series are referred to as "Einser" ("One-er" for 1 series), "Dreier" ("Three-er" for 3 series), "Fünfer" ("Five-er" for the 5 series), "Sechser" ("Six-er" for the 6 series), "Siebener" ("Seven-er" for the 7 series). These are not actually slang, but are the normal way that such letters and numbers are pronounced in German.

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

1) BMW is a driver's car, Merc is a passenger's car.
2) More for young executive

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

great performance and driving experience

Re: What is your attitude towards the BMW Brand?

Great engines with over the top handling should have been enough to sell their cars but overbranding attracts posers/badge-whores.
