I share my experience and solution here for anyone keen to find out more.

My PM replies always has multiple options and solutions and different workshops without biases for people to choose from.

My sharing has always been based on my own car and my personal experiences and solution.

The valve seal replacement done on my own car has solved the white smoke problem for more than 100K of mileage and it's my own testimonial of a successful repair/replacement.

I managed to share how it is done, in easy to follow pics which allows people to understands the whole process.

Through the process of sharing,
Member can benefit and I get to know more friends in return.

Additionally, I have contributed many other postings which have different modifications/repairs/replacement done from all different workshops if u have been reading them.

Through a strong and healthy network, comes opportunities, fun activities and outings

I see this as a positive win win contribution yet staying within the house rules as stated by forum owners.

Site sponsors are our pillars to keep this forum community alive for so many years.

Forum would not exist well without them.

Let's be practical - naming a local site sponsor in your PM as a token of being non-biased means nothing.

The other workshop is supposedly cheaper, better and bears your endorsement.

If it was not then there wouldn't be so many enquiries with you religiously answering them in the name of friendship.

Does your that JB workshop does more than VCG change, they do gearbox stuff as well as mentioned in your other contributions ?

What other services do they offer that you would endorse and recommend ?

Personally I am very impressed that you have been doing this for 2 over years.......

Why don't you ask them to be site sponsors too ? Then this will lighten your administrative burdens of driving the business to them because you can then not break the forum rules when you name them openly ......

my testimonial is strong as I has done the valve seals in 2012 and at 140,000 KM mileage and the car works fine till now.

I have also recently driven up to Penang and the car survives at mileage of 250,000 KM.

I also believe the workshop can do more than just valve seal change or solenoid change like most other BMW workshops.

It's not my problem if they are keen to be any site sponsors or not.

When I share in my postings, I made new friends and contacts along the way.

It's always give and take.
It's win win situation

My valve seal post has been posted so long ago and hopefully all my postings and all my contributions does not affect u in anyway.

If it does, u might want to avoid all of them.
No heart feelings thou.

BMW can lower till very low with no problems clearing humps.

The distance between my car's mud guard and tyre is zero fingers and I have been driving as far as KL & Penang.

It is estimated that I would need to top up 4L of engine oil monthly.

Solution:
I bought my own Valve Seals & Valve Cover Gasket from stockies in Kakit Bukit area and brought them to a workshop to change.
Please note that this is NOT considered a top overhaul. This is simply just a replacement of the worn off valve seals which caused the engine oil to leak.

Downtime:
Down time is within the same day, morning 10am till evening 5pm.
I went to cut hair, massage and shop around while waiting.

Feedback:
After the service, car feels more powerful, no more smelly white smoke. I am a happier BMW owner.

I also facing this problem, almost every 2,000km, I need to top up 1L of engine oil.'
I have request PML to check and they have change for me the below items

Replace Oil Ring at Piston for timing chain area
Replace gasket ring A22X27
Replace solenoid valve area O ring
Oil ring etc.

But still need to top up every 2000km of 1L engine oil.

Bro, can you advise me what is the cost for the spare part and the workshop name and location and costs...

I see you have changed a lot of parts and they don't solve the problem?

Would u please consider to go back PML and have them check your car again to find out the source of ur engine oil leakage?

I am not sure if you have the same valve seal problem as stated in this thread. I recommend you to find out the source of the leakage rather than assume what is wrong and buy the valve seals and change it right away.

You could be leaking in one of the many O rings or hoses?

Nevertheless, I will still PM u the contacts.

Please let us know what is the out come.

Additionally,

Please do the simple white smoke test.

Start engine for 10 long mins,
Rev hard at the accelerator and see if u have white smoke coming out.

If have, high chance u have the valve seal problem.

I think bro Aaron is doing an excellent job of sharing in the spirit of the forum. Personally I have benefitted much. I have also benefitted with other recommendations by other bros unselfish sharing. If you are just a BMW user, why are you so sour over this?

Even if you don't go to his recommended ws, his posts itself are much more informative and useful than those site sponsor lackeys lurking around who only post nonsense exchanges to gain experience points.
