NEWS>> SCION FR-S CONCEPT - Speedhunters
Freshly unveiled from the New York Auto Show floor is the Scion concept version of the FT-86, the FR-S. Head on over to www.ScionDimension.com to download hi-res images of the car and also to check out a release video.
One more image after the jump....
With the unveiling of this Scion branded concept at the New York Auto Show, that must mean that the release of the production car is coming closer and closer. We can't wait to get our grubby little hands on one of these for a test drive already!
I must say the car actually looks rather good.
Updated 12:12PM PST: Larry Chen was on hand at the New York Auto Show at the unveiling of the car and was able to grab a few snaps and send them our way.
The side profile looks stunning.
The rear 3/4 view of the FR-S is quickly becoming one of my favorite views of the car...
...as is the front 3/4.
The metal work is just incredible. Here's to hoping there isn't much change from this concept to the production car.
The rear of the car just looks insanely beefy. This is a very far cry from the grocery getting, tofu delivering AE86 of yore. The car retains its front engine (2.0L), wheel rear drive. No front wheel drive here, folks!
A detail of the rear diffuser, what a work of art...
...as are the front head lights.
I don't quite think the production version will have center lock wheels.... We can dream, right?
The thing I particularly like about new cars coming out is that they're sticking true to their initial concept designs.
