Re: AE86 successor - FT-86!!!

"Subaru's involvement can be found under the bonnet; one of the company's trademark flat-four engines. Apart from its configuration and 2-litre displacement, Toyota have not released many details on the Subaru boxer. Enthusiasts will be happy to note that the power is transferred to the rear wheels and through a six-speed gearbox that is operated by an old-fashioned stick and clutch."

Flat 4 boxer engine?... eh?...

Re: AE86 successor - FT-86!!!

i thot the subaru engine was always in the plans... how is that a surprise?

Re: AE86 successor - FT-86!!!

noticed tho, that the roof of that car looks like the Nissan R35 GTR, flat and pulled back! Maybe it's the new trend for jap sports car!

Re: AE86 successor - FT-86!!!

Holy shit.

Boxer engine, XXXL Air Intake Grill, Xenon Headlights, Sleek looking.
SEXY.

BUT, it kinda resembles the R35 though... IMO.

Re: AE86 successor - FT-86!!!

Here's the STI version speculation, CHIO. OK must buy STI already. Maybe if got spec C gotta get spec C too.

And I thot it was gonna be a cheap car to buy.... sheesh....

the Scooby version looks like a turd... business as usual then...

That's probably a test mule testing the drive train. Very early R35 mules were using the Infinity/Skyline coupes as a cover to hide the drive train even though the final design looked nothing like them.
