hi bro,

For touch up paint from PML, comes with a paint coat and a clear coat. DO you apply the clear coat as well?

i just apply the paint coat. its too small to apply clear coat. end up u might make the chip more obvious then it seems.

I just did some touch ups today. Not happy with my previous touch up. removed it and reapply again.

how did you remove the previous touch up coat?
i learnt this from a paint master.

dab ur cotton swab or cotton bud (the ones u use to dig your ears) with surgical alcohol or nail polish remover. personally i like cotton buds as it is more pointed and hence the area of focus is smaller. Having done that, place the cotton with alocohol on the area u wanna remove. Apply a slight pressure and u will see the old paint coming off.

Dun worry about new existing paint around ur car as it is protected by the clear coat and even if u poured the entire bottle of surgical alcohol on it it wouldnt come off.

If you are apprehensive about the above procedure i can help u do it. hehe

i have also contemplated on repairing 2 stone chips courtesy of IR trucks along ECP :( however quite relectant as the factory coat is still better than those locally sprayed.

but are u traveling behind or on the side of the truck?

most likely is behind, in order for the truck to generate that kind of force to richochet a stone onto the bonnet which would cause a chip.
