Road has become colder?

Yesterday, there was like 5 car distance between my car and the car behind on my right and i signaled to filter right into the lane and got honked by the moment my car stepped into the lane...

Today, when i just finished pumping air at petrol station...then a car with bicycle carried at the back of the car started to reverse into left space of my car...that space is not enough for another car...but he kept reversing until his bicycle nearly hit my car and the conversation goes like this (his driver's window is down during reversing)

me: don't reverse anymore as your bicycle will hit my car.
him: are you going?
me: yes.
him: GO LAH (he shouted at me)...

i was stunned as he looked like he is in his 60s...i recovered from this unexpected shock and took a quick glance at his son (in his 20s)...his son seemed very embarrassed...

i decided to drive off and not engage in this incident which might become ugly...if i start to talk back...

Has the road turned colder or the overcrowded road has made us colder?...

top 1000 most courtesy drivers spotted by TP get free COE...confirmed + chopped this will work...until free COE has all been given out...

should have taken pic of his car (his bicycle is like a palm-span away from my car)...and stomp it...but the only problem is he could say that he was there first and i was the one trying to reverse into his space...sheesh...

Less gracious = Also Free

by maths, Courtesy = Rude = Less gracious...it will take more than a century to solve this tough maths problem...

Singaporean drivers are a funny bunch.....

~ slow drivers clogging the fast lanes with a self-justified COLD attitude governed by the speed limit;
~ slow drivers who practise the same on NSHW;
~ drivers who will only drive fast to close the gap the moment you signal you wanna filter in;
~ drivers who keep tapping brakes on the first lane;
~ drivers who have no clue that dark cars after 7 pm with headlights switched off is a danger on the road;

and so on and so on....... some of them should not be allowed on the road at all.......

Agree. I sum up these in our national traits:

Kiasu, kiasee, haolian, eager to win, cannot lose, save face and blur sotong.

is not is colder... jus that Courtesy and Gracious on spore road is really minority here. there are still plenty of driver I met give ways from cars coming fast from behind.

actually recently there are quite a number of drivers at least one a day i encountered driving w headlight off at nite. this correlates to cars modernization with respect to instrument cluster being permanently lited irregardless the head lite is turn on or not and the introduction of "auto" head lite mode.

Those not on auto headlight mode that is when you see some of them driving happily in stealth mode at night. they think they can see the road and the instrument cluster is lited so it is fine... other can't see them never mind.

once i saw an SLK driven like being chased by ghost along AYE/CTE with headlite off... pretty darn dangerous coz other can't see him coming if one decided to change lane...

LTA should do something about this actually... in sg roads are well lited, headlight is not needed to drive home... hahahaha...

so it is more of forgetfulness couple with lited instrument clusters problem...

i have fair share of this inadvertences therefore these days i always check the green head lite icon to make sure..

fortunately, that place is my home ground...the staff in that petrol kiosk knows me well...should be staff + my words against old man's words...i didnt wear sunshades at that time..won't look as cool as PP...

Agree. I sum up these in our national traits:

I believe in Newton's 3rd law of motion...... for each and every action there is an equal and opposite reaction......

sometimes, i'm overtaking on the 1st lane. eg 2nd lane traffic (2-3 cars) going at 85-90km/h and i'm overtaking at 100-110km/h (with clear road ahead).
a car from 2nd lane filters to my lane with a small but reasonable safety distance without signalling. i slow down to allow said car to filter. all in a day's motoring in singapore.

what irks me is when the said car (now in lane 1 and in front of me) then travels at exactly the same speed as the cars in 2nd lane!

why filter to 1st lane if going at same speed as lane 2? why didn't driver let me pass first before hogging lane 1?
am i being unreasonable?
