SG tire prices are heavily marked up. I suspect this is controlled by distributor to please the MY dealers given their high prices due to 40% tax on car parts.

$2000 is ​AD PSS price offerred in most shop ... $1900 is not carrot head.

Guess the above sizing for F/R are examples? If not wrong, 235 fronts and 265 rears would amplify understeer? 245 & 265 would be better.

Actually 235/35 & 265/30 is the closest rolling diameter match to OEM spec. (These sizes are recommended by the websites)

RE11... dry condition wins PSS hands down but during wet condition, it will scare you big time so is the wear rate

i was referring to the 'possibility' that its a 'water goods' meaning rejected tires due to QC from factory. If theres a 'possibility', i myself wouldnt toy with the idea.

if it pass QC, and sold from PI , is OK. just like your chinatown goods theory. or AP bought from Sincere/Hour Glass, vs AP bought from AP boutique.

I beg to differ. What makes you think the local distributor (chin seng hin) does any additional QC on the tyres he gets from michelin? He basically just buy and sell the tyre.

PI seller in sg also has to get their good from an overseas distributor.

For example, toiletries from the shops in chinatown are also from vietnam/thailand distributor and are sold at discounted prices. Any difference in their pantene and those from ntuc? Neah, only price different.
