I caught a TP hiding!!!!

Re: I caught a TP hiding!!!!

racebred - that I agree is a good enforcement action... only problem is sometimes people just start driving at snail's pace when they see the bright blue lights... but its better than hiding in the bush I guess...

Re: I caught a TP hiding!!!!

speeding, what's wrong wrong with speeding? must spend the shortest time on the road and get off. It is reckless driving that kill, be it speeding or crawling. crawling at snail speed is very reckless and it is more dangerous than speeding. There should be a minimum speed limit and NOT a maximum speed limit.

Nothing wrong with speeding, if:

(1) the driver assumes his own risks;
(2) he assumes risks of his passenger(s); &
(3) there are no one else on the road.

But if you combine speeding & reckless driving with disrespect for other users on the road, the combination can be deadly.

Think of a mega-ton 16-wheeler with its driver thinking along the same line, and you will not be endorsing the same argument.

On the contrary, you might think the truck should be slow and safe than to "spend the shortest time on the road and get off" it.

Very often, it's the ego, pride, and complacency of the driver that is the cause of accidents.

No matter how well the car is built, no matter how skillful the driver thinks he is, no matter how straight the road is, no matter how alert he is, as long as he is stretching a certain threshold of his skills and experience and the limits of his car, the risk is inherent.

One often think he could stretch that threshold on the road (not at Sepang), until some lives are lost. Try telling the victims of accidents it is not the speed that killed them, but any other reason...... The outcome is the same - any other reckless driving can cause accidents, but speeding (almost) certainly KILLS.

To me, speeding on the road is ignorance of the risk of loss to his own life, and disrespecting the living rights of others.

That mentality is more fatal than reckless driving itself.

Re: I caught a TP hiding!!!!

just wait till TP awards the high-tech companies with projects to come up with the planned "traffic monitoring system". read in the papers that the system might even be able to enforce bus lane regulations, catch cars with wrong/damaged license plates etc.

if it is true all this is to be matched with GPS technology...you can be sure they will know of your EVERY move and speed at all times...even say, how fast you are going up the ramp in your multi storey car park dude!!
