Guys,
To be honest, these kind of groups lessons does nothing to help you play decent golf.
My wife signed up for 10 lessons with guranteed PC in SEL CC with an Aussie Pro but still cant hit the ball for nuts!
If you are serious about picking up golf, get 1 to 1 coaching from reputable golf schools like the ones in OCC or JCCas well as dedicate some time off at least once a week to practise.......
I've been there and done that.....15 years already......
just my 2 cents of advice....

ahhh! i forgot bout that.
theres a stupid theory test.
haha..
and bro... its really normal to fail.
Golfing really requires a lot of luck.
Its not all bout skills i would say.
U can just anyhow whack.. den the ball goes out zhun zhun and straight...
dont have to whack far. on target and u can dominate the PC test...

Now I know why beginners find it easier to handle clubs with MORE LOFT...
Most definitely - YES!!!
But I was lucky. My PC test was only at the driving range - and my friend who took it with me and I were not even aware the test had started. We were just hitting warming-up shots - after 10 mins the pro came over and gave us our PCs, saying we've passed...

Actually, if you do not mind the distance, there's a pro in Sembawang Country Club by the name of Galistan who is quite good. I'm sure he's not that expensive too......
I train there twice a week and I can see that he's very serious in teaching unlike the other 2 younger pros who look and behave like HORSINS......

It's been a long time since I touch my clubs and have ben itching to golf for some time. But instead of making a fool of myself at the greens immediately.:nehnehhh:

Don't worry too much about the PC test, if you have real interest in Golf, you will get it.
To play good Golf is all about practice, and of cause a good start with a good coach will be very helpful in getting the correct basics.
But just by having a good coach, without real interest, self discipline, determination, and lot's of practices, will not make one a good Golfer.
In Golf, especially when you are totally new, it will be very difficult to even hold the club correctly with comfort, let alone hitting the ball properly. And that will normally demoralized most beginners and eventually gave up the game totally.
For beginners, it will be a lot of frustrations during the first few months, but once you've developed the proper or correct grip and can hit the ball to a fair distance, then that's when you'll feel the fun.
And when you are finally ready to go to the green for the real deal, you will then understand why some if not all Golfers got addicted to it.
It is a very emotional game....

Actually if wanna do a mini meet, OCC is the best.
After whacking balls, can eat Lobster porridge downstairs followed by some drinks at the small pub on the 2nd level of the range.
Btw, there are quite a few pretty Malay waitresses for the Horsins to ogle at too......
