Re: GB for German Castrol 0W-30

I think knife brand oil also can go into the engine, cause use it to fry chicken at 180C still ok but I no guts to try.:shhhh:
extra virgin olive oil confirm cannot cause its boiling point is quite low.

you can go to your ex workshop, pay them to to change oil filter, air filter and drain the oil only.
pour in the oil yourself since they don't do it.
:)

I think it is because of profit margin issue. I offered to pay more for labour, but no deal.

There is a reason why workshops are selling oil at 3x the price of what we can get outside.

Re: GB for German Castrol 0W-30

Went to BXX, for my usual EO change in August 13 for my usual EO change. Brough my own engine oil n oil filter. For the past 1.5 years, they charge me at $37nett for labour but now they charge additional $25 more, in-charge said bo pian, everyone bring their own engine oil so have to charge more.

As i have some voucher from PML, so coming EO change I booked app at PML. Which allow to bring engine oil for servicing.
Oil Filter - $25
Service - Standard Scope $22
Engine oil service (oil supplied by owner) $33

Some more got buffet n coffee! Cheers!

Re: GB for German Castrol 0W-30

they probably should just sell EO. no need to bother about levy, permit quota, overheads etc. machiam Mxxxxding:juggle:

They are quite popular with porky...and honestly, they are good.

One of the good bimmer workshops is also similar, charging same price as AD for oil and more than AD for labour.

Re: GB for German Castrol 0W-30

corkage is fine, most people should understand and is willing to pay.
but if the restaurant tell you that you cannot bring your blue label even with corkage and have to open their gold label instead?
