Wah... this upgrade sibeh simple leh. Test calls after upgrade allows calls to be answered on wheel! However, not sure if it I'd because I already answer a call earlier on phone. Will update further after more tests tmr.
No matter what, thanks Jacko... I really didn't know BMW will allow us to upgrade car software ourselves.

"dump" is the word!!!
My E60 comes "Bluetooth Ready." But it still does not work. I was told I need to install a $2,500 module to get it to work.
By any English definitiion, what do you derive by the words "Bluetooth Ready"?
When somebody say.... Lunch Ready, or Meeting Ready or workshop call you to say Car Ready....

And u are driving E60/F10 which month and year of manufacturing? Mine is also updated iPhone 4s 5.1.1.

Bro,
I don't think that's the issue cos I'm driving a January 2011 manufactured 528i and have been using my iphone 3GS and then the iphone 4S without any problems.
Start the car, 1 minute later all contacts are loaded into my idrive and the phone button on the wheel works like a charm. I even recorded some voice tags using the voice command button to call some of my more common calls.
Maybe can try to check the software and do a upgrade like the one suggested earlier?

Mmm...interesting. Mine is a Jul 2011 523i so should work as well. But I did interrupt the downloading of the contacts to iDrive so maybe that's the cause?

when i collect my car(f10) the bluetooth software version are as follow, under iDRIVE, settings => software update :

I downloaded the updated software from here, need the 7 digit vin:

The newer software version MX-3.5.4, and TX-3.5.4 has some improvement below. I do noticed the bluetooth connect faster with my iphone4s in my case:

Size is about 6.6Mb download to root folder of the thumbdrive and insert into the USB centre console, then go to iDRIVE => settings => software update
it will select automatically the correct version to upgrade. upgrade takes about 3-5 minutes in my case.

After update, the TX is the same version. But my MX is older version.
How do I update the MX version?
