kekekeek.. I just bought 2 freaking good condition ones from a kaki and it's sitting in my bedroom awaiting further plans...you little bit late liao.
Ask Sandy to sit with you and you will get used to the squeak very quickly and subsequently can't live without it.... just my tot..kekekekeke

Call Jonathan --96366263. Bought a M3 Steering wheel ( with air bag ) from him yesterday. Couldn't wait to fix it up this weekend. Can show u guys tomorrow nite

swt, your seat so jialat until must change meh? have u check out all the nuts n bolts and whatever? maybe some wd40 can clear it liaozz....no need to waste money then.

aiyo give Sany a break la...i tried spraying wd40 on the nuts and bolts but the sound is coming out from the leather within la...what to spray there...? anyway if the chairs are cheap cheap, i dont mind paying rahter than put up with those squeaking sound...

Alamak . There is fitting problem with the centre piece ( horn ). Bringing back to Propel to see what he can do . else go to return --- sad lah . I really like the steering wheel !!

SWT, squeaking seats are something most E36 owners have to endure, for me it is generated by;
1. leather rubbing when you shift i.e. back rest vs seat, back rest vs arm rest
2. Other thing rubbing e.g. leather pants vs leather seat, people vs people kekekek.
A good leather moisturizer/care product do helps by slightly softening the effect but it comes back again. I got a set of relatively new re-wrap seat at home and it squeak abide less.
Be prepare to spent about $350 ~ $500 for a really good used sets of front if you intend to replace. No guarantee the squeaking will be gone. New ones I don't know the price.

SWT, yes I did had the problem too, if your seats are those harder/stiffer leather on the 96 and earlier models, can't help it. When your back rub against the backrest, it squeaks like nobody's business. Even after I changed to the 97 softer leather, it still squeaks a little, bo pian one. My friend's E39 same thing, its just its newer, less noise.
So one remedy is not to rub your back or butt against the seat so much, or else there will be other noise coming out from you...wahahaha...
