Hi guys

I am planning to do D&D this year since we skipped last year. Due to the poor response in 2006, i am starting this thread to gather interest and see whether its feasible to organise one this year. Organising a proper D&D is not quite easy, thats why i will need to see how many ppl are interested in order to decide whether there will be one this year. And kindly give your vote to which type of venues u prefer k.. if you have any suggestion, please do feel free to post... I personally like the idea of holding it at sentosa.. the convoy from town into sentosa will be quite an interesting sight... :)

Please kindly do not OT this thread, as i really need some valuable inputs.. thank you..

I kinda voted for the wine and dine but i'm not thinking of a classy set up but food is important. Where's bobby? We need entertainment!

Chris Tan???? :)

Yup, KM8 would be a better choice................

Re: Discussion - BMW.SG D&D 2008

My thoughts, after attending almost every D&D since I have joined BMW-SG 5-6 years ago........

(1) Cost - in the past, many forumers cited cost as a reason. Perhaps we should do a casual one. Flamesuit on, but this appeared to be convenient excuse to not attend.

(2) Support - it appears that the forum is fragmented when it comes to events like these. We need every sub-group and the respective "leaders" to rally for full support. Club Sandy, E46ers, E90s, Sharkies...... if point (1) is also addressed, more compelling to join in.......

Just my two cents......

Totally Agreed!!! I am trying to keep the cost between $50 to $80 per pax.. of cos.. i will try to keep it low.. as for support.. yes... if the event is a go-ahead.. I will need a comittee and hope that all the sub-group "leaders" are willing to help me out in this event...it has been a long time since we have a big family gathering... lets make this year a good one... :)

Re: Discussion - BMW.SG D&D 2008

a more informal dinner/BBQ would be nice...that way cost/last minute absence could be mitigated with less difficulty...

also interaction would be better than a formal dinner where sub-groups will tend to stick to their own tables.

some people might like to take up a chalet or hotel(Siloso Beach Resort kinda sucked from my experience...Sentosa Spa & Resort thumbs up but kinda far away.) especially those drinking...and there are many of you..
.
i have noticed excessive drinking at some outings...esp with the same TP and other patrol cars outside St James, Vivo flashing their messages...there is no detour even with scouts...

Re: Discussion - BMW.SG D&D 2008

by the way.. can i have a small request? Can admins take part of the lucky draw also?? hahaha... 2006 lucky draw i can only envy those who got so many nice gifts... hahahahahha.... just kidding... :p

After that, sleep on the beach............. :lol2: :lol2:

** firstly, chalets can't take so many ppl...........
** Hotels???.......... book at own personal expenses.....(if not like wat kenn said.... cost will be part of the reason)
