Re: 125i Coupe

Congras Anna and Tin ! We having more 125i coupe around now.

Its a good car, powerful and comfortable enough for singapore road. If u put it on manual drive, it will blow most cars away, but do stay clear of the 135 !

Re: 125i Coupe

Will post pics for Tintin to feast his eyes... (anyway.. same same.. onli diff cols)

Fuel consumption is higher then the expected or rather bad for the 1st tank. Anyway, will monitor. Anyone would like to share the fuel consumption as a guide for muai?:smack:

AS of now I still cant "smoke" many car as cant do manual, cant floor as yet for the 1st 2000km (Handbook n SE says one) ... already enjoying the thrill of zig-zaggin the slow car, very easy and fun car to drive. love the exhaust broom broom.. especially in MCP, under bridge, tunnel...:cloud9:

At least the first 2 tanks FC tend to bad due to run-in. Mine as well. Tried a few petrol grades, I am getting between 9.0 - 10 km/L, with shell vpower giving the upper limit, and shell 98 on the lower limit. Maybe you can give it a try to see if your match my findings.

Overtaking is really a breeze, just simply give it a tap on your paddle shift to drop to M5 for the real throttle to kick in and vrrooommm, there u go. I love the sport's exhaust as well, the roar is really nice.

Because I do not want to be smoked by the 135i exhaust when always tailing behind :p

7000km now and getting between 10-10.3 km/l per tank as per the trip computer. Getting 10.5 this month due to the school holidays. Slowest BMW driver on the road.

Wei, don't be like that leh. Few enough of us on the road already. Wave when you see a coupe.:wavey:

its natural that FC is a little higher when new. depending on how u run in the car FC will improve over the 5000km mark.

Yes, let's do! So I take it that the secret handshake for us 125ers would be a double honk with a friendly wave? :woottt:

Yup. I hope so too, been waiting for a month for it liao.

Now in a fix over the rims that I should get. :verysad: Since there're so many 125ers here, can I take the opportunity to ask if it's advisable to slap on 19s staggered setup for the 125 that is already on M-Sport Suspension?

How much lower does the M-Sport Suspension make the 125 go?

I spoke to the parts people at PML last week and they told me that BMW AG has advised that 18s are the max my ride should go. The booklet on the BMW 1 and 3 series also said the same thing.

But the Torque magazine featuring one of the 135s has 19s slapped on. But whether or not fenders had to be rolled is anybody's guess.

Anybody can advise?

Re: 125i Coupe

I am also comtemplating a set of new 18" shoes... think 18" is good enough, 19" may be too big.

One thing to note, the M-Sport Suspension already made the ride's suspension quite hard, and our ride is rather low on the road already. Changing to 19" may add on additional discomfort especially if you plan to do long-distance driving up north.

I just ordered a set of front and back BMW Performance brakes... also waiting for it to arrive. They will be under my stock 17" for now.

Thinking about the air intake... that would add additional roar to your cabin and extra throttle.

Opps.. mod virus spreading !

The engine mentioned is N43B20 O1, which is direct injection. Other than N54, BMW has not sell any DI engine outside of Europe. So, E82 120 outside of Europe might end up wif N46B20.
