Re: Throttle Body Device
Hi cyberez,
Congrats on getting this device. You will be amazed by its ability to make the car feels it has 500cc more despite it actually not giving any more power in reality.
Installation is quite easy as Pingman says. Unscrew the accelerator assembly from the...
Re: intermittent electrical power loss
Firewall? don't understand. The only electrical mods that I did on the car are
1. Hiop programming
2. Sprintbooster
3. EZstab
All were done long time ago and no problems until recently. Anyway, I don't think these mods would cause the problems I...
Re: intermittent electrical power loss
Update. The car was fine for 3 days after changing a new alternator. For past 2 days, it developed same symptoms of intermittent electric power loss and in addition today, check messages and dashboard icons warning of DSC failure, Servotronic steering...
Re: intermittent electrical power loss
PML diagnosed alternator dying and changed the alternator, under warranty. Took them 2 days though. My 730i is less then 2 years old and has only done 34k km.
My car is at PML for replacement of the faulty alternator. As I have UCC underdrive pulleys installed, PML said that they don't have the correct lenght belt and have to use back the one supplied with the UCC kit, which they said is already cracked.
Firstly, are the belt lenghts really...
My car experienced simultaneous intermittent electrical power loss to the in dash display monitor, in dash CD changer, hifi system and aircon blower, a few seconds each time. Each time, these items will die together and re-initialise themselves after a while and everything is back to normal...

Saw the above in the Net. Any idea if it is the similar thing like the Obit? Seems quite affordable though.
Re: service interval
No, if u do not reset yr service interval indicator, PML would not know that u have serviced the car outside. Anyway, it does not matter even if they know about it. It will not void yr warranty.
Re: E90 Start Problem / Brake Related
My friend's 4 month old E90 320i had the same 'no brake feel' starting problem. Had to call in the PML emergency service. Advised that have to step on the brake VERY hard before cranking the engine. So far no more recurrence but since it now seems that it...
Re: Hidden menu in instrument panel
Sorry.Yes, it's the E65. I don't know ( I might be wrong ), but I heard that E39 also have such a feature.
I am interested because one of the submenus is 'service reset'. As most of us change engine oil ( in non PML workshops that may not have the OBD...
Put the car ignition switch to ON. Press the trip meter reset button next to the dials on the instrument panel for 5 sec. A menu list will come up on the tachometer face. There are about 19 submenus seen, but don't know how to proceed. Any ideas?
Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe
It is not a matter of driving fast. Both a 3 litre and the 2.2 litre can go just as fast if given enough road.
It is a matter of being frustrated by lack of low end torque in the 320 rather. The leisurely acceleration from the lights and poor ingear acceleration...
Re: Enquiry on 320 coupe
If you can get a 325 for the $10K that you were preparing to put into mods, I suggest that you get a 325 instead and mods come later. Having owned a 320 before, IMO it is just too sluggish. Not enough torque.
Re: Another 520 (pre-own) or the S80 ?
Spidy,
Don't you find the plastics making the console / stalks of the Volvo abit too tacky and hard? Feels very different from the German cars ( including Audi and VW ). This was what turned me off when I tested the S80 2.5.
Re: How much does aircon affect performance?
OK. The compressor cuts off at WOT. But most of the time in real life, we don't drive at WOT but at partial throttle. So, it seems that there is still a place for aftermarket devices like the 'passmaster' or other adjustable compressor cutoff...
