Z4 manual.. Need help

Guys, I was told by my workshop that I need to change the below axle which will cost me 5k plus and need 1 month for intent.

There is this very loud winding sound coming from it.

Do anyone know what's the part no for this?

Saw quite a few z4 done there, including bro jerm's.

That's your rear differentials ..... 5k is way too much for that.

Buy a second hand unit. I believe the ring & pinion might be serviceable.

Have you changed the rear diff oil before ?

That's your rear differentials ..... 5k is way too much for that.

Buy a second hand unit. I believe the ring & pinion might be serviceable.

Problem now is that I don't know if this is the cause... Haizzzz...

I show the mech a pix of LSD.. He say not this leh...

Thinking of sending the car to juzzforcars.. Are they good? Coz I am still unsure if this is the root of the problem..

does the noise happen as long as the car is in motion?
