U know one thing that makes me disappointed with the Z4M?

Ans. It doesnt have the side grills like M3 and M5. Lack of M character therefor.

you own a Z4 now?
once you have it you dun like it. that is why your interest for Z4 not as strong lah.

i think the side grills would clash with the Z-slash on the fender, but yes, its a bit too similar in design to the normal Z4. which also means its easy for people like me to convert my car to a Z4YAM....hehe

but then again, there isn't much difference in styling between the Boxster S vs the Boxster either.......

I hv a normal Z4 and I truly adore S54 M-engine ..., swear by it in fact : )

Actually my excuse is the high price and the perks we dont get for being an M-owners in Spore.

Z4 to Z4M only engine upgrade. the interest might not be as strong as say, 318 to z4M? ha ha

not just engine upgrade bro.

bigger brakes, LSD, quad exhaust, thicker steering wheel, normal mechanical steering column are just some things i can think of offhand.

if i could, i would sell a kidney to get my hands on one....but too bad i already sold one to buy my 2.5L.

The last one was last year and there wouldnt be anymore after Ketih left.
They sent out invitation card to M5 launch and one free movie ticket recently...that's bout it...Where's that 7PP the 7-er owners get to enjoy?

It's kinda true actually. After having owned a Z4, it doesn't seem like such a big deal anymore. I thought the design was really radical and looked damn good but having seen it day in day out for a year, it's boring. The interior is spartan and uninspiring. Thinking back, I get the same feeling looking at the Z4 interior as I do in the rubbish Mitsubishi Lancer. Ryan asked if I missed it today, I said no, not at all.

rhetorically, between the two, i would choose the 987s for 3 reasons:

a. z4m costs abt $25-30k more at $305-310 (got my m brochures 3-4 weeks ago) and has crap resale value vs the porker.
b. z4m will never get anywhere close to the handling of 987s, even if the latter is down to barebone options.
c. i have spare change for the psm option by choosing 987s vs z4m; that is, the former's handling will be lagi more impressive.

but the truth is... i won't get either of them. simply because the non-m 3.0i z4 smg/manual can smoke both (if they were stock) with less than $20k worth of mods. e.g. fi with a tm12. and, still be left with about $70k in pocket, nett cost of mods. :cloud9: incidentally, the z4m is heavier by about 150kg than the non-m, if i recall correctly.

Though different class of cars, i would top that tad bit of difference and get the RS4. Its anytime a better car. Only thing is that it needs a diet.
