Woofer in Trunk. Any ideas?

Hi Bros,

Read online that it is not recommended to install a subwoofer in our trunks since the cabin is well insulated and the bass hardly gets in. Any of you have done such a setup?

I'm considering to install a subwoofer in the boot and get an amp to power it together with the door speakers.

I'm driving an e90 320i anyway. Anyone can share their experience?

I'm actually quite happy w my woofer.
If ure in e east, can let u see and hear.
Installed on a e60 =)

e90 comes with 2 x underseat sub. Upgrade those and its pretty much good enuff, as opposed to having a wooferbox at your rear trunk. Click on my 'Mod Journey' link below to see more details wrt the underseat sub =)

I cut a big hole to fit a 12" subwoofer on my previous E60. The cut, with a 1/2 inch thick board & upholstery costed around $300. The bass was deeply satisfying but I had to sacrifice some boot space.

Het - I'm planning to do that but just couldn't find the time. What sub did you have for your underseat? Did you install an amp?
