Most tint are made from metal oxide compound, hence in the long run, some galvanic corrosion may occur on your demister with discoloration around the area. Whether it happened, depends on the insulation of your demister.
I have seen a car taking out the tint, probably due to over-tone and did not pass the inspection. Those guys at the shop need to resort to using cutter blade to scrap the layer out... I can imagine it will not be good for your demister.
Hence, I gather that once the tint cured, it will be pretty permanent. So choose something you are going to have to live with for long term. There are ceramic based tint which will not cause galvanic corrosion and is more color-fast, but they are slightly more expansive.
