The price you paid is common to get a 5/6yo e90 back to good running condition, unless previous owner is an bmw enthusiast!

Just did mine yesterday.... cost me $1600 to change the ATF, solenoid, oil pan (Aka filter)

Car damn smooth now........... Did all the problem like vacuum pump, wiper pump, engine and gearbox mounting, front disc and pad and lastly do an early servicing.. broke for ard 2.8k.......

hahaha better than me. i did almost the same things as u. solenoid, atf change, oil leaks, suspension/brake changes. total dmg approx 4k.. then backside itchy went to change tyres and some small cosmetic upgrades, all in 1 month.
total dmg at 6k and not done yet. this has got to be my most broke chirstmas ever!

Hi all... new here... read up the past post and found i have this problem too... when down to R2D today and got everything done, will follow my style of servicing every 10k and 40k, everything smooth smooth now... great drive enjoying every bit... thanks to ROD...
