Where to fix faulty USB port in center glovebox?

The usb port (right below the aux port) in my center glovebox is spoilt.

Any recommendation to get this fix?

If USB no power can be a fuse blown problem

I have similar problems sometimes... the port supplies power... but iDrive just doesn't detect my iPhone or iPad.

I tried switching cables and only used cables that are verified that works on a PC for data transfer.

Anyone has any idea? Similar issues?

Pardon me if I am mistaken, but I had thought that the USB port was intended for iDrive software update purposes? Please share if I am wrong. Always seeking to learn and gain knowledge.
