Re: Where Can I Go for ECU Reflash and How much does it cost?
contrary to what you are saying, you can actually get quite a bit more from your stock engine.:whipper:
each and every engine that is produced will have slightly different specs. not every engine is the same and there will be slight differences due to production and assembly - it's not possible to ensure that every single engine that comes out of the factory is exactly the same.
the boffins who programme the ecu software take these differences into account and cater it to the masses - very very conservatively. this is because they cannot tune each and every engine to the individual specs.
in order to optimise the performance of your car's engine, you will have to tune it according to your engine's unique specs. this is where engine tuning plays a big part.
tuners like hiop will re-tune the ecu by enlarging the performance parameters, like catering it to the kind of fuel used, the operating temp (intake air temp), etc. but this is still conservative as it will not take into account the details like your driving style, etc.
on-the-road tuning however, will be able to take all these into account.
if you really want to extract every single hp out of you engine, go to tuners who do on-the-road tuning. this is also available from J4C, but make sure you do it after you've installed all the performance mods in your car.
i've done the hiop tuning, and it has increased the power and torque of my car by about 10%.
ai race mai? :nutkick:

are you guys going to tune/flash the ecu or unichip with stock setup or going with full mods such as intake (ram cold air intake), exhaust (full), spark, ignition, etc ?
is stock engine = no more juice to be squeeze = no point to flash/tune = better stay stock
