Hi Guys, thanks for the reply. It happen on yesterday night. After restart the engine light still on. And today most of the workshop didn't open. So I guess have to wait till tomorrow then will know what happen to it after I go to to the workshop to check.

Thanks eng98. Hi Guys, Just spend $1k to fix the yellow engine light. Guess what for the spend.. Total 7 item.. 1. Servo motor(above engine), 2. Labour charge on changing motor and reset. 3. Fan Belt. 4. Belt tensioner and labour. 5. Pulley bearing. 6. Power window gear. 7. Labour charge on window gear... Pocket now one big hole..

Got the car on this month.. Mine is E90. It was a very bad experience with the dealer. Somemore go for STA to check before I commit to buy the car from them. Report state got oil sepage and other things as well.. They agree to do it so after that went to their workshop to rectify the problem and who knows this workshop my friend knows the boss.. Guess what!! Behind me tell the workshop not to do it just clean it and tell the client its done.. Can you believe it?? Alot of thing promise but end up i'm the one who came up with the money. Some more dealer verbally say one month warranty after rectify so now the problem comes they say not within the problem issue. So funny. They are from a reputable company some more the boss can still stay bungalow! The boss can stay bungalow becos this is how they do business. This car was in year 06'. Mileage was below 50k when I got the car but who knows problem came on when drive for 1.5km. Although I'm the second owner I guess there will be more problem to come. The exterior condition was well maintain by the first owner but inside the mechanic wasn't too good for me to handle! Good to see from outside but inside terrible like hell especially when you met a terrible dealer with expert lying group from a reputable company!

My suggestion:
1. Attach a map to show where is the dealer located to warn fellow forummers to beware of this company.
2. Share by pointers of their empty promises.
3. Compare the difference of warranty they supposed to pay. Ended up, you swallowed the bill.
4. Attach your STA report.
5. Salesman Attitude towards you.
5. Open a new thread for this topic only.
Just my 2cts worth.

actually what u replace is valvetronic motor,which is also call servomotor,e90 owner in their lifetime cfm will replace it one time dont worry!haha

Hi bro,
It's like that, buying a used car definitely the wear and tear items you will need to budget some money to replace.
Esp for E90, you have to budget around min 3k esp those close to 100,000 km lots of items to replace.
Engine oil seals, gasket, hoses, valvotronic servo motor, ATF oil pan, ATF oil etc are very common and have to be replace in E90 once the time is up.
When all the oil items are fixed, the water items will be next such as water pump, radiator, heater unit, radiator expansion tank etc.
Best to drive to one of the sponsor workshop, BVO, Boss, R2D etc whom i have patronized myself depending which one nearer to you, let them hook up to the Autologic unit to check your car fault. They will advise you what you need to change.
If you want to save some money, but indeed more hassle, buy your parts from Eng Soon, and do your servicing in JB workshop.
BVO btw the last i spoke to them allow their customer to buy the parts outside and bring to them to install.

Bro, your 1k bill is cheap lah. Mine was 3k + first servicing after getting my 2nd hand E90, all the items replaced below plus more, since workshop advised wear and tear items all nearing EOL. The good part is everything now brand new, so should be good for next couple of years. Just enjoy your ride.
