Hi

As just got my 2nd hand E90 320i without the Angel light aka Xenon light.

So the stock headlight is halogen light right?

Is there any after market option most non Angel light owner choose to fit a angel light look alike headlight and change from the 'orange' light to white headlight? And where and estimate how much?

Like to know what is the available option. I know can change the whole light to original Angel light for ard 1.7k, But a bit ex for me.

Thanks.

Like what LSS said...

Betterest and Cheapest = Don't change.
Betterer and Cheaper = Buy from eBay and don't install.
Better and Cheap = Buy from eBay and DIY install.

Okie Dokie, enough of poking ya

There is a few site sponsors who will be able to answer your question soon :)

google e90 depo headlights, there are pre-LCI and LCI version
check out this thread >>> http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/3-series-owners/66276-depo-angel-headlights-led-signal-e90.html

if your ride is LCI, it already comes with angel eyes (alto abit fake) but can change to white light and make it brighter
check with sszone thread >>> http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/bimsho...-markers-halogen-headlight-sets-ae-rings.html

u buy the sonar ones, u probably go bang wall later on.
best option....get the e90lci halogen headlights with ae rings.
used ones from propel cost abt 800bucks per pair

anyway, your understanding of the headlight set is rather wrong
1st u have the mainlight, can be xenon or halogen depending on the set.
xenon headlights are running on a different system but its 2-3 times brighter.
for xenon lights, oem headlights will come with projector lens.
white light, orange light or whatever depends on the bulb used then.

as for the ae ring, it is powered by a separate bulb with holder.
again, white light, orange light or whatever depends on the bulb used then.

its best that you go take a pic of your headlight set and post it here so that we can advise u correctly

Bro, don't go for that sonar one... I'm currently on it. It give you sportier looks, daytime, at the night time, only in very dark condition you only can see the ring without headlights on. If view from mirror of the car in front of you, he can only see your headlight, maybe a bitttt of the ring only.

If just as sszone recommend, cost for brand new set of the sonar headlight just a bit different. For the e90lci one, you can change the ring to white and brighter with xxxshop h8ae led, if you like yellow can just stick to the stock. Oh ya, and no error signal on your speedometer.

dun change lar, i find the original yellow halogens nice too

Re: What is the better and cheaper method to change headlight to Angel light & white

ask me la.. buey sala one..
personally i used to change from original halogen (yellow bulb) to sonar + HID Balast 8k and now.... back to original halogen (yellow bulb).

1- money wasted (although I got 2nd hand from a bro here), do not get the effect of original angel ring during day time.
2- need to install HID balast (angel ring also not bring during day time)
3- den your fog-light how? also need to HID it? arbo 2 colors (kanasai)
4- if die die want angel eyes, get from stocklist or SS to get preloved unit (budget) better.
5- HID balast, rem to get the campass unit too, if not will have error..

lastly, welcome to bimmer club.. i also just join since May.

If no tight budget, can buy used xenon set with ballast, control module and get It reprogrammed for Ecu to recognise it. Cost abt 2k

If got budget, try the e90lci halogen with rings, cost abt 800 for used, add 60-100 bucks for labour.

The above-mentioned have not factored in the cost of changing bulbs to achieve the white main lights or white AE rings

Hi

So the first option is original xenon with ring, which will cost ard 2k?

2nd be original halogen with ring and cost about $900?

And see what is the different between this 2?

This is my current light. Just taken a photo of it.

Re: What is the better and cheaper method to change headlight to Angel light & white

your headlight is pre-FL which does not comes with AE
cheapo way is to add a taiwan made AE rings
not so expensive way is to change the headlights to depo headlights ... $800-$1000+-
best way is to buy used LCI xenon headlight ... new one $3.5K ... used one see how cheap you can find

Re: What is the better and cheaper method to change headlight to Angel light & white

Then i'm more toward getting a used LCI xenon headlight?
Can i know the price diff estimated for "used LCI non xenon with AE headlight" and "used LCI xenon with AE headlight"?

LTA inspection can pass also right?

K. read some stuff on the eye.

In the site sponsor, think there is only Bimshop and Propel auto parts can get the lights?
Bimshop is have parts and do installation right?
Propel auto is only parts and no installation service right?

2nd hand xenon with AE and labour at least about 2k?
