What if I want to re-spray the whole car?

Thinking of doing so to have a refreshed look on the car and also to get rid of all the nicks. I understand that nothing beats factory paintwork but no choice lah..

Roughly what is the cost and downtime of doing so? Typically how many coats would local workshops do compared to factory? Would they also spray the engine bay and the internal door panels?

Give Mike a call from Sim Wee Chuan. I got my whole car sprayed and the paintwork is really good. At least go to someone who handles a bimmer. Coz not all workshop know how to dismantle and assemble back a bimmer. it took me 10 days.

PML can do too and the quality is just as good if not even better but at higher premium

dont PML outsource anyway? i was speaking to the guy at Hup Seng and he said PML send their cars to hiim sometimes.
i know for my car SM wanted to charge 800 for fixing and respraying a dent. went to Hup Seng and got it done for almost half the price and they would have sent it there anyway....

PML has their own body shop, but I think when they can't cope, they still outsource.

i have to disagree with respect to BMW factory paintwork. its absolute rubbish. lots of orangepeeling and embedded particles in the paintwork. Its no better than the paintwork found on budget marques.

even PML's workmanship is miles better than what the BMW factory can deliver.

Thanks for the replies but I don't own a BMW but rather an Audi. Does Sim Wee Chuan have any experience with Audis? How much is the est cost?

It really depends on whether you want to spray the whole car (Engine bay etc) or just the exterior.
