wat shud be my next mod ?

Hi... i've made efforts to read up on past threads about performance enhancement, but must admit i simply cannot understand all the techincal jargons. Also some threadlinks within threads seemed lost.

Basically, i m driving e46 FL 318ia valvetronic. I bought it used about a year ago, and it came with REmus twinhead exhaust..the one that costs about $1100 but i cant remember the model.

if i read correctly, i also believe that my model already comes with electric fan ?

what shud be next ? UUC pulley and obit ? or ... ?

The previous owner might have done some mods...how can i find out ah ?

I am not expert on this, please read the past posting on ARB.

Basically there are less car body roll when you do a sharp trun

Depends on whether you want to do aesthetics, performance or handling first. And there's no pulley mod for 318 valvetronic.

Depends on whether you want to do aesthetics, performance or handling first. And there's no pulley mod for 318 valvetronic.

I found out today there's no pulley for 318. I guess Gruppe M and obit is the next consideration.

U shd do Obit last after the rest of the mods are in. Otherwise, everytime u do a performance mod, u gotto retune your Obit. Why not check out SL2's ride first. He has got almost everything liao and then u can decide which of his mods u wanna start copying first.

Then you can consider doing the Cold Air Intake...
Once all done, can put up your car for sale...swee2x..

Unless you assume unlimited budget for modding your ride, you need to plan what you need to do based on your preference and driving habits. Like what SL2 said, you need to draw out a plan to mod the areas of aesthetics, performance, and handling. This plan has to be checked against your needs and budget.

Let's say you love taking your car for a spin. You love to gun your ride around that Buona Vista bend. You might wanna go for performance mods (from simple iridium plugs and filters to CAI, exhaust, piggyback, ECU remap) and handling (ARBs, strut, suspension). Some of the considerations of the mods are complementary - example wheels and suspension (might not fit some wheels with some suspension systems). Some cosmetic mods are complementary to your handling mods - for instance you might have to consider ride height versus the lowering effect of the springs. So all in all, you have to plan a list based on your driving needs and preferences.

Know yourself, know your budget, then consult for the list. More efficient that way.

BTW, IMO, if the exhaust mod is simply changing the muffler, it is considered more of a cosmetic mod than a performance mod.

U are absolutely right... i actually dont do much hard driving so i think i m pretty done with performance mods. I think suspension and exhaust seem enough for me (at this moment until itchy again)

I m more into looks, being as shallow as i am hehe... but nobody wanna exchange headlight trims with me... gues i m gonna spray it soon...

but good advice from you people, for those who intend to mod their cars.
