From what I understand of your car is parallel import or the older software, it will throw a CEL. Mine is the updated software, hence no problem. I know of at four F13 owners with JB3, no issues.

No ideas bro, I only told them to print out at crank/engine as that is exactly how much I am producing. At the wheels it all depends on the wear and tear on clutch on how much you put down.

I hope I am not being discriminated becos I drive a PI car.... BUt having said that Bro drumminz's car is a PML 640i F13 and he had CEL not once but a few times! How do you explain that? Bro samlambo, maybe your car is special la...

In my humble opinion, if a piggyback hooks on 4 ports and changes too many parameters, it is inevitable that CEL will come on given that BMW on board computer is very sensitive in picking up changes...

Those crank hp are all derived from whp unless ur dyno shop crated ur engine out for the runs. Hence crank figures will suffer from those potential errors you described and in fact, exaggerate the error

I agree with you bro... I really wonder how they measure at crank... dyno at wheels would be a better true gauge...

Bro samlambo, your figures as given by Boss at crank are 332bhp and 529 Nm. If you compare to the official figures given by BMW for the 6 series N55 engine ( 320 bhp and 450Nm), your gains are only 12 bhp and 79 Nm.

The only thing I can think of drummin'z car is that he needed to update his software. I also do know for a fact that there was another dark blue F12 at BOSS that had this JB3 put in with no issues. Whatever the case it has worked for me and another 2,3 F13/13. Cant speak for the rest, maybe I am special, haha :)

No idea how they work, I think best to go down to BOSS and ask them to a dyno/ask them how it works. But I do know for a fact because I have seen with my own eyes, many stock cars producing between 260-280hp at crank which I am sure they will show you.

To clear up any doubts owners might have, the JB3 works well on the F series N55 only if the BMW Firmware is V2.40.1 or newer. Generally, most Parallel Import F10/F13/F12 N55 comes with very old, outdated softwares with quite a couple of bugs. Even the "Transport Mode" was left On in most cases with Parallel Import Cars, causing lot's of communication error down the road. Proper diagnostic machines to do a "Pre-delievery preparation" is a must with the current Generation of Bimmers. We have done Dyno test on standard F10 535i with older firmwares and it turned out to be 40hp/60nm less than cars with the current firmware!

Good news is, the Juicebox 4 will be arriving soon for the F10/F12/F13 N55s sometime this month. This will be in another level of performance with 350HP/550NM on our Dyno as estimated...

I'm sure Samlambo will be the very first to have a JB4 on his White stallion!

What about bro drumminz car? It is a PML 640i F13... current year... should be on latest firmware...right? How is it that he also encountered the CEL twice with the JB3 on?

JB3 works fine for my 640i as well (touch wood, no CEL). Nic im second for JB4 pls :D

WHERE'S MY JB4???

Guys,
I know that JB4 comes with autotuning which means that the piggyback will decide on what optimum boost levels to run at. Max is set at 16psi which is very safe.

Nic please correct me if I'm wrong.
