Velocity and Powerbox

Hi bros.

need some advice. Read the threads and can't really understand the diff. between Velocity and Powerbox.

The only diff is that Power box got 11 maps vs velocity's 4 maps, isit?

can bros who install comment?

i'm driving e60, 523iXL.

Hi Bro,

Power box is a Piggy back that influences the AFR while incorporating Throttle booster characteristics.

I would say they are quite different in pricing also.

i see...so velocity is just like a throttle booster...with varying degrees to choose from, while the powerbox alters the ECU, right?

hence the price diff.....

Yes that's what I know. I have the power box installed. Previously I had the SB installed.

Velocity only accelerates your throttle response....no bhp gains....

Powerbox is a piggybag ECU that incorperates throttle advance maps with at least 20~28bhp gains.

Hi Dash,

Velocity is the tunable SB whereas Powerbox give you an over-all better response plus throttle portion.....

is a must do.................(MTL)

remember to install Nology plugs as well.........

i'm considering SB + Nology silver plugs since Powerbox is not available for E90 320 (N46).

i understand that nology plugs has no "resistor" for spark optimization. i'm concern about inteference to E90 electronics such as radio, GPS, OBC, etc ?

any feedback ?

i love the liqui molly engine oil. engine sounds macho and rev'ing ... i need somemore juices ... kekeke

Oh i see.....LCI model (tuning no out yet) strange.........i thought is the same engine as the pre-FL model cause non LCI no issue on tuning........or could be some software different now the LCI model comes with sun-roof (argh).......bought mine ealrier so no sun-roof

i guess SB is the best for now then.....if not velocity......(try getting a used set)
