Anybody interested in attending V3GO's DIFF course ( V3GO.net ) ? I've talked to the v3go organiser .. They will be willing to start a class if theres enough interest.

They are kind enough to offer this course @ 50 dollars per session. It will be a 3hr 1 day session. The date/arrangements will be finalised if theres enough interest.

Its a great deal sign up!! I believe some of our forum members are grads here and they can bear testiment to the DIFF technique... =)

Diff w/o charting is it useful? Ken?
Diff is actually MACD Diff. Needs to be combined with TSC and other indicators.

Re: V3GO DIFF COURSE (March 09)

Personally I feel that DIFF gives me a good gauge of the underlying strength/weakness of the stock i want to buy in the near term(a few days)..u cant make buy sell decisions purely based on DIFF alone..best results have to use it together with other forms of charting techniques...just like most indicators...

I am not really a day trader...this suits me as its not so skewed to intraday trading.

i agree, although some of the ppl i know use it for intraday as well. (Once Diff call enter, make money only ran within the same day) Usually they use volume as one of the other indicator.

Bumpz....

Volume? Volume is not an indicator leh.....

The Diff levels give relative strength of a stock. Above Diff R, long bias, below Diff S, short bias. In between, neutral zone.

The TSC and V3Go lines are a counter-trend breakout trading technique.

Williams % is an oscillator.

Perhaps not an indicator used by V3GO i guess, but surely we use volume as a conviction for the strength of a movement. Price and volume = fundamentals of TA?

Yes and no. Are you referring to (1) volume transacted at certain levels, or (2) total volume traded, or (3) volume on bid and offer?

On the way up, it a stock trades up without huge volume, it tends to retrace. Hence stocks will huge volume at resistance levels, when cleared, often exhibits powerful move. Example - take a look at Straits Asia on Feb 2nd. Check out the trades after it opened - opened 0.95 rammed up to 0.99 (marked 0.995) in 40 minutes with thin volumes at each levels. Guess what happened after that? Came back down to 0.93 over the next 25 minutes.

But if you take a look at Golden Agri today, heavy volume traded around 1 level. There is volume, but I am not sure it will have range. Average Trading Range will come into the analysis. This is not V3Go's methodology.

I find volume analysis very subjective and does not tell a good overall picture...unless off course we are able to see the net real buyer/seller of a counter...that is off course impossible..at least to a retail investor ..
