Should consider after market pads as the stock generates too much dust....btw sensor is cheap,,,OEM is only $15/pc....both front and rear need one each...

Soft brake pad = More dust & less wear on rotor.

Hard brake pad = less dust & more wear on rotor.

I think the compound also make a difference...Jap car seems to have less dust even on the higher end model and their rotor wear rate is lower... The conti car's rotor is made of mild steel that wear off at higher rate.

yes, i experienced the brake squeal on my EBC green now...after about 2k KM...

at first i thot its other cars / vans / buses beside me when i was braking

but one good thing is very less brake dust

I change my front & rear to Brembo rotor. The grip is much better even though i used Textar pad. It seems like Brembo rotor is on carbon steel. In addition, it is slight lighter (hand feel).

I'm using Cool Carbon. Super noisy squeals! I'm super disappointed. I guess it is better to change back to OEM pads?

What car u driving? If have OBC, it will prompt u. If not, can always go workshop to ask them measure for u. (Btw normal driving I think 19k still no need to change, though it depends too.)
Brake pad is not ex. Nor labour. Unless u go PML. But ex also must change, nothing more important than brakes (and tyres).....

Brake pad is not ex. Nor labour. Unless u go PML. But ex also must change, nothing more important than brakes (and tyres).....

till then, i will prob change outside.. some reputable bmw workshop..

I'm also on CC pad. 1st mth no problem. 2nd mth super noisy, even SBS bus has less squealing....Now, under most braking situations, no squeal liao....

Why initially no squeal? Because the pad surface was treated. Once that is worn out, here comes the infamous squeal.....

Before you go back to Boss, do about 4 to 5 session of serious bedding... these pads seem to require more bedding than usual. I did about 3 session, separate occasions then squeal finally subdued.

Then send your ride back to BOSS (if they installed for you) and ask to service the pads. Remind them to apply enough anti-squeal on shim and brake piston face, then heavy grease on pins, clips, etc.....anywhere there is contact between pads and caliper assy.

Viola, hardly any squeal.......

Don't waste money changing back to OEM pad....damn dusty....Now I clean my rims fortnightly....

based on my past experience, a well and even bedded brake pad will produce minimum squek. Just brake gently and keep a far distance from car in front for the first 500km and dun do hard braking., This will give the pad a good bedding and minimise sounds...hope it workss...

I was quoted by PML that i need change brake pad and disc. However the price is almost hitting 2k?!!! Mine is 50k servicing.

Would M&Q @ tampines able to do the job?

Go outside workshop bro... Last time I did mine only below $1.1k... all original BMW parts... rotors, sensors, brake pads... all stocks
