FYI, the cost to change 4 brake pads in PML, outside workshops can change 4 brake pads + 4 rotors and sensors...

Last year PML charge me $900+ for 4 brake pads + sensors... Abt $300+ is labour... @#%^*&$... My friend changed at outside workshop... all original BMW rotors+brake pads + sensors+labour... 1k

Cannot.....just go to any of the BMW workshop to replace brake pads.. Its as simple as abc to them. In fact any workshop can replace brake pads. You should also flush the brake fluid at the same time...

Hi
I changed my brake pads to EBC green both front and rear with replacement of sensors. Also changed the back rotors (OEM equiv). Did it at R2D and it costs me about 800 - 900 plus (if my memory serves me well)

Can change using outside workshop. No need PML.....:woottt:
However, if you change to low dust, higher performance pads like EBC, Cool Carbon, etc., beware of brake squeal.....You might not experience it initially as there's a layer of coating to help bedding, but after that, that's where your ride becomes SBS bus...
I'm on cool carbon. Great braking performance......but squeals start after about 1000 km....workshop say, "its like that one".....
I tried serious bedding, lithium grease, squeals gone down by 90% for about 2 weeks.....now coming back again...
Moral of the story, low dust = high probability of squeal. unless the workshop does a good job by liberal amount of anti-squeal, allow it to dry for at least 6 hours, plus lots of high-temp grease on the brake calipers, pins, clips, etc.
