I started love affair with Liverpool when Roy Evans was just appointed gaffer.
but already started to notice Liverpool in 1993 when Nigel Clough came on the field, scored a brace and leveled the scores 3-3 against (who else!) ManUre. That time Liverpool was 0-3 down. What a fightback!

You've done the treble ... We've done the 49er. I'll bet bottom dollar that until a few weeks ago, all ManU fans were secretly hoping to eclipse that ...

i also bet my last underwear they also trying hard to eclipse our 5 x European Champions tag. :wavey:

Agreed!

V Persie's red card, will suspension mean that he misses the next domestic game?

Nope but I think he may miss the ManU game anyway... he was supposed to be still injured.

Think will only apply to european games.

Anyway Arsenal didn't deserve to go through. Totally outplayed by Barca...

Wouldn't count on Arsenal winning anything this season. The Carling Cup was our best chance and that was screwed up.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Shucks!!

Barca outplayed us in the first half but I think we held out well until the "kelong" backpass by Cesc. In the second half, when we got the equaliser, I thought the momentum would swing to us just like the first game. Then RVP got sent off. That was pivotal and we lost the game because of that. We didn't have any outlet from defending the Barca pressure which meant that Barca would get the ball and start attacking again. It is debatable whether RVP should have walked. I mean he took a shot at goal. It wasn't as if it was a bad tackle. Nobody starts to waste time with 30 mins still left. Spoilt the game.

I guess the upside is that Arsenal can concentrate on the BPL and as the other English teams progress, they will have more games to play. Come on ManU!!

*rubs mouth with chilli*

Come on ManU! Go all the way to the Final and lose to Barca.
