Referee made some very controversial decisions...failed to send David Luiz off, and also awarded a soft penalty. However, bad ref decisions affects all teams in the BPL as well.
In the 2nd half, United didn't deserve to win at all. Midfield was bossed by Essien, Lampard and Malouda...also can't seem to recall Berbatov making any contribution when he came on for Chicarito. In my opinion, a "fair" result would have been a draw.
Davi Luiz's goal was superb. Bendtner would never be able to pull that off....

But I beg to differ that Man U can eat Liverpool all the time :screwedu:

Referees are remembered for their big decisions in big games. Unfortunately Martin Atkinson got some wrong on Tuesday night and they cost Manchester United.
Atkinson failed to deliver consistency in similar incidents, the basic requirement for match officials.
Lucky Luiz: The Chelsea defender should have been shown a second yellow card for this foul on Rooney
In the first half, Manchester United were denied a penalty when John Terry handled a shot from distance. Although his hands were by his side, the ball travelled a long way and Terry ensured that the ball did not pass - a clear offence. Nothing was given.
However, when Yury Zhirkov took the opportunity to go over Chris Smalling's outstretched leg, Atkinson had no hesitation in awarding the home team a spot kick. It was soft, but just about the correct call.

An even clearer example came when David Luiz deliberately tripped Wayne Rooney off the ball - a clear cautionable offence.
As he had already been cautioned, Luiz should have been dismissed. Nemanja Vidic was not afforded such tolerance later in the game.

Last Saturday, Manchester United coach Mike Phelan asserted that 'you can't dispute a referees' decision'. After this display by Atkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson is unlikely to agree.

SINGAPORE - Pele , Eric Cantona and Cobi Jones have arrived in Singapore to officially kick off the 2011 New York Cosmo Asia Tour.
The last time the New York Cosmos arrived in Singapore was back in the 1970s and this tour marks the club's first visit to this region since its rebirth seven months ago.
It is also the first time that Honorary President Pelé, Director of Football Eric Cantona and Associate Director of Football Cobi Jones will have travelled together as ambassadors of The New York Cosmos.

Courts and the New York Cosmos have the development of youth football in common. While Courts sponsors Courts Young Lions in Singapore, the New York Cosmos have two elite youth academies in the US: Cosmos Academy East and Cosmos Academy West, in New York and Los Angeles respectively.
To officially commemorate The New York Cosmos arrival into Singapore, Courts will host a press conference on Thursday March 3, 2011 at the Jalan Basar Stadium prior to the Courts Young Lions match vs. Geyland United - where Pelé, Cantona and Jones will be present to meet the players and fans.
Fans that cannot make their way down on Thursday to see their idols will have nothing to fret about.

On paper, the Gunners are suffering injuries and ManU look like a full squad. I'm not sure how many more injuries the Gunners will pick up at Sunderland and against Barca. they are made of glass.
For ManU, the players bones and muscles seem tougher BUT, in the clash against Liverpool, Rooney will be up to his usual antics and elbow everyone and get sent off.
I'm sure there will be a red card in the game against Pool. The rivalry and fight for pride is too strong for both teams.
