Re: Swissvax grooming

I'm on ceramic coating pps + Swissvax Crystal Rock Wax.

You may want to check out their authorised distributor (Detail.Lab), I did mine with them.

same for me. look for ben. 98448533.

warning. this is not cheap...but swissvax is a very nice warm gloss. high cannuba content. and hand-warm applied

Re: Swissvax grooming

I'm on opticoat now. It is the only coating that claims to last forever and can only be removed thru machine buffing..

However, on the downside, it is not as "warm" nor "slick". The water beading is still very nice as of today, which is about 4 - 6 months of application. You cannot apply any more wax on top of the opticoat as well, as it will really just come out in a few days... What I am doing is just using autoglym aqua wax after washes to get some more slickness and shine.. But this too will come out in just 1 rain due to the coating.

But the best grooming I've seen or used is really Autoglym HD wax. But downside is that it last 3 weeks in our rain and weather... First week really damn shiok, unparalleled water beading and shine... Beats all PPS hands down, but well this is a wax, so for sure la.

Re: Swissvax grooming

Just did the glass coating with Ben from Detail lab as well. Very impressive. There are a few options to choose from depending on budget. The crystal rock wax is very nice, but the price is even nicer!!

Re: Swissvax grooming

Have been with Ben for 3yrs. Highly recommended. Premium price indeed but he is doing most the work himself with his brother. Went with my friend to other workshop and see many Chinese and Bangala working on his car. He notices more scratch marks after grooming.

autoglym hd wax? do most autoglym groomers use that? or just the normal autoglym super resin?

Re: Swissvax grooming

Hi, I just want to share with you what I did for my F10. I went Groomwerkz at Senang Crescent and did a Dupont Glasscoat. Though is a bit ex, but it is definitely satisfactory. I do not have any more water marks or brid shit stain problem. All I need to do now is get a wet cloth to clean my car. After each car wash my car looks shiny as new. (to my point of view).

So far I have referred 4 of my close friends and they are very satisfied. Oh talking about commission to refer is a glass of kopi O. Haha...I not so cheap to refer good things to earn, I don't that for a living. You can PM me if you have further query if I don't reply on the post. Enjoy your car....

Cheers....

Re: Swissvax grooming

I personally would still go with our site sponsors here for grooming. Revol has been established for sometime and SONAX produces car care for our very own BMW, just that they repackage.

Can't ask for much more than that.

Now I don't bother waxing my car already. Just toying with SONAX's new detailer. Good enough. Shine + Protection all in 1. To me, I don't really care about the carnauba or silky feeling. Looks glossy good enough. Not like everyday my car will be molested.

Re: Swissvax grooming

Just curious, would it be possible to appl PPS plus high quality wax etc to the plastic film coating that I have over my car (to prevent stone chips etc)? Many thanks.
