Anyone has installed these yet to complement their brakes?

Seems to be only stop tech ssbh and challenge ssbh in the market (USA) at the moment....

Hopefully some shop bring in a good set of ssbh soon...

Re: SSBH for F30

Are you only looking for ssbh made from usa ?
There are lots of ssbh available in the mkt, why only stoptech and challenge

Not really. At the moment, good ridge and gruppem haven't came out with ones made for f30...

Understand most of the stuff are widely plug and play, but I am looking for the ones that is almost same as oem with the right length, tabs positioning, etc.

Re: SSBH for F30

bros need your advice here. my current brakes feels rather spongy and i feel the brakes are not good when car is fully loaded. thought of changing SSBH but i did some research online and quite a few actually dun recommend SSBH as it is not easy to maintain and requires frequent checks since SSBH are not that flexible to bending as compared to stock rubber hose. would like to hear your views.

Re: SSBH for F30

How old is your brake fluid ?
Is it spongy right from the start or only recently ?
If its like this when new then its the design of your car, if its only recent then its best to have it checked by a workshop.
Should you feel that braking force is insufficient then you can try changing to pad with better bite, if still insufficient the BBK is the way for you.
SSBH, if made to the same length as stock hose will not have any premature failure like what you mentioned.
Not that flexible cos its tougher but in no way less durable than the rubber hose...

If u find braking not good enough, it is time to upgrade to 328i front brakes or any BBK. Maybe can try changing to performance pads. Don't think the ssbh is going to help much.

Re: SSBH for F30

oh yes! the mention of brake fluid, since i collected my car one year ago after purchasing 2nd hand, i have not touched the brake fluids, the pads are however still rather new after inspection from the technicians.

Re: SSBH for F30

Thanks Jason and brosiss! Jus flushed out my brake fluid today and I was surprised to see the fluid is black in color since brake fluid r known to be clear???
Now braking has improved by >30% for something that cost less than $40 was told that part of the spongy feeling is due to stock brake pads are made softer hence the slightly spongy feeling as heat causes the pad to be even softer.

My brake pads are due to be changed soon, any recommendations???
